MOOT is a forum for truthful discussion and debate around the many challenges that face our society today; no matter how uncomfortable that discussion may be. We encourage common sense, and thoughtful and constructive observations and debate on the key social, political, cultural, religious and economic issues of the day. We believe the voices speaking loudest into our nation on these issues do not necessarily speak for the nation. There are many in our society whose voices remain unheard.

The toxic “I Find that Offensive” default position, the ring-fencing of certain topics as beyond discussion, the delegitimizing of anyone who doesn’t conform, is inevitably eating away at democratic debate more broadly.

MOOT believes passionately in the right to free speech and in the power of opinion and debate to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the nation. We aim to provide events, videos and articles that question and challenge the accepted norms within our society by raising issues that are thought-provoking, challenging and even controversial… without fear of ridicule or retribution.

We Like To Discuss The Difficult Questions

… in fact, the more difficult the better. That’s why we invite and welcome speakers and contributors who bring a different point of view to topical issues. All share a common commitment: to question and to challenge.

MOOT is not a political movement nor is it aligned to any political party. We are simply a forum that provides a platform to encourage those that have something to say to speak out.

We echo the words of Dwight D. Eisenhower, who said: ‘A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both’.

MOOT is reliant on our subscribers and contributors to raise topics that are of concern. If you have something you would like to share why not consider becoming a contributor to our site. Equally, if you become aware of issues ‘In The News’ or have an idea for an article or for an event email us at [email protected]
